Philippe Bezes
French Team
Philippe Bezes is CNRS Research Professor (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) in the Centre d’Études européennes at Sciences Po Paris and acts as Principal Investigator for the French team. In his research, he concentrates on administrative reforms and bureaucracies in France and in comparative perspective, state transformations, institutional change and public policy. He is the author of Réinventer l’Etat: Les réformes de l’administration française (1962–2008) (Presses Universitaires de France, 2009) and has recently published a co-edited volume Public Administration Reforms in Europe: The View from the Top (with Steven van de Walle, Gerhard Hammerschmid, Rhys Andrews, Edward Elgar, 2016). He has published in many journals in French and in English (Governance, West European Politics, International Review of Administrative Sciences, Revue française de science politique, Sociologie du Travail, L'année sociologique, etc.).
